Biography

• Born in 1987, in Turnhout, Belgium.
  
• Holds a Master’s degree in Law (2010, Catholic University Louvain), a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration (2012, Catholic University Louvain), and an MBA (2015, Global Executive MBA program Insead).
  
• Michiel began his career as legal consultant with Deloitte. In 2012 Michiel joined Ravago as an intern with the American logistics team. Upon returning to Europe, he joined the Finance team and oversaw Ravago’s global insurance programs. From 2014 to 2017, Michiel headed Ravago’s operations teams, overseeing logistics, warehousing and customer service. Between 2018 and 2022, he served as the Business Director of Ultrapolymers, one of Ravago’s key distribution channels. In 2020, Michiel took on the additional responsibility of overseeing Ravago’s IT department, aiming to achieve efficiencies of scale and prepare the company for a digital future. Michiel was appointed Ravago’s CFO and COO in 2023.
