Kristine Wolcott Braden

Biography

  • Born in 1974 in San Francisco, California.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. She also studied at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain as an exchange student. Kristine completed masters-level corporate finance and accounting coursework at Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies.
  • Kristine Braden is a global banker with extensive experience working in Europe, Asia, the US and Latin America. She has consistently driven growth and profitability in product and client-facing roles including corporate and investment banking, markets, transaction services and wealth management. She also has executive leadership, board, regulatory and crisis management experience. She worked for 26 years with Citigroup in a variety of senior roles, most recently as Europe Head, CEO and Board Member of Citibank Europe Plc in Ireland and CEO and Management Board Member of Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG in Germany. She also served as the Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board of Bank Handlowy Warszawie S.A., Chair of the Strategy & Management Committee and Vice Chair of the Risk & Capital Committee.
  • Currently, Kristine serves as Board Director and Risk & Audit Committee Member at Vontobel Holdings and Vontobel Bank AG, an international investment firm with Swiss roots. She is also a senior advisor to Frontier Tech Capital Pte Ltd, a Singaporean-headquartered Asian technology fund.
  • Kristine is active in the non-profit sector as a board member of TrustBridge Global Foundation, a global donor advised fund; ICM, a charity serving the poor in Asia, Africa and Latin America and Be Still Media Foundation, an art incentivizor.
  • On the Board of Directors of KBC Group, Kristine is an independent director and will be a member of the Risk and Compliance and the Nomination Committee.
