Erik Clinck

Biography

  • Born in Antwerp on 21 June 1961
  • Holds Master’s Degrees in Applied Economics (University of Antwerp) and in Internal Audit and Corporate Governance (Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management). 
  • Erik started his career as an auditor in September 1985 at KPMG in Belgium. Between 1996 and 2018, he was as an audit partner and between 2010 and 2018 he was also member of the management team and and in charge of Markets and Marketing department. As auditor he was accredited by the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority and the National Bank of Belgium to audit financial institutions, investment funds, insurance companies, pension funds and listed companies. He is since the 1 of January 2023 Chairman of the Board of Directors and of the Nomination and remuneration Committee of the Thomas More College of Higher Education and president of the audit committee of the KU Leuven Association. He sits as an independent member on the Audit Committee of Groep Stad Antwerpen and on the Finance Committee of the Jesuits European Low Countries. He is member of the Board of Vanbreda Risk & Benefits and president of the audit committee and acts as company secretary for Unibreda NV. In this role he is also member on the CSRD reporting group. As Executive Director at Enactus Belgium vzw, OLO-Rotonde vzw, Carehousing vzw and Marie-Elisabeth Belpaire vzw and sitting on the Advisory Board of Boost for Talent and les Amis du Farming for Climate he is focused on putting the ESG principles into practice. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Cera Beheersmaatschappij – in the capacity of ‘external director’ – and Chairman of its Audit Committee since 29 November 2019.
