Biography

• Born in 1971, in Gent, Belgium
• Holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering in Communication and Electronics (University of Gent), complemented with executive programmes at IMD, Columbia and Stanford
• Joined company in 2024
• Career: He brings more than 30 years of experience in technology, operations and digital transformation across telecom, energy, media and finance. He held senior leadership roles at Proximus (1993-2012), EDF and EDF Luminus (2012-2018), where he combined commercial, operational and IT responsibilities and led large-scale transformation programmes. Between 2018 and 2024, he worked for DPG Media, where he served as CEO of the Belgian activities and as COO/CDO at group level, driving digital acceleration and operational excellence. He joined KBC since the 1st of June 2024 as Senior General Manager Group Organisation & Operations. As of the 1st of March 2025, he became CIO of KBC Belgium. Since his arrival in KBC, Kris has played a central role in organisation, operations and IT, launching transformation initiatives focused on automation and efficiency. On the 1st of September 2026, Kris became member of the Executive Committee and CIO of KBC Group.
